Whanau Atawhai

Whanau Atawhai is the Social Service component that offers rangatahi and whanau assistance, advocacy and support through housing, education, employment, budgeting, counselling and parenting. The Pou Aroha Programme is an initiative created out of the Whanau Atawhai Programme.

Pou Aroha Programmes

Our Pou Aroha Programmes provide opportunity's for wahine (women) to come together to share korero (stories), wairua (spirit) and talents in a safe and nurturing environment.

The programme facilitates women to tap into their inherent strength and wisdom that each one of them possesses, so as to enhance the future for themselves, their whanau, the community and the environment.

The programme is run during the school term. We can also provide childcare if needed.

Whakamanamanamai  (Empowerment) is a value that is golden in developing growth of our young people and our communities.

We use a sustainable approach that equips us with the necessary tools to work collaboratively within all areas of services, this has also allowed us to develop and nurture relationships with tangata whenua, mana whenua, local government and our local community.
